Tips for using an iPhone for the first time - #1

 I have organized the necessary settings sequentially when using the iPhone for the first time.

if you don't have an Apple ID, go here: How to create a new Apple ID

1. Add Keyboard Language

  Sometimes you need another language to enter your Wi-Fi password.

  Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard  

  Tap Language > Edit > Move Up > Done

2. Connect to Wi-Fi

  Settings > Wi-Fi > The name of the Wi-Fi('Wi-Fi Switch' should be turned on) > Enter the Password > Tap 'Join'

3. Percent of Battery
  The default setting of the iPhone is inconvenient because there is no display of the remaining battery percentage.

  Settings > Battery > Battery Percentage > Switch On

4. Adjust screen brightness

  The screen brightness automatically adjusts to the ambient light level by default, but sometimes it feels too bright or too dark.

  Swipe down on the top right and you'll see the control center > Adjust the brightness

  Settings > Display & Brightness > Adjust the brightness

5. If the screen turns off quickly

Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock > Change the Auto-Lock time from 30 seconds to 1 minute.

6. Change Font Size

  Settings > Display & Brightness > Text Size > Adjust the size

  If you want larger text,

  Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Large Text > Turn on the 'Large Accessibility Sizes' and adjust the size.

 🔹This setting allows you to adjust the font size in Settings, Calendar, Contacts, Main, Messages, and Notes, etc. Font size in apps depends on the app developer.

 If you want to increase the font size of the Internet,

 Safari App > Tap the font size tool to the left of the address > Adjust font size

7. Register Contacts

  1) Phone Icon > Tap Contacts > '+' Button > After adding the last name, first name, and phone number, Tap the 'Done' button.

  2) Contacts Icon > '+' Button > After adding the last name, first name, and phone number, Tap the 'Done' button.

8. Delete Contact

  1) Phone Icon > Tap Contact's Name  > Tap 'Edit Button' > Tap 'Delete Contact'.

  2) Contacts Icon > Tap Contact's Name  > Tap 'Edit Button' > Tap 'Delete Contact'.

9. Making a call

  1) Use Keypad

   Make a call by entering a phone number.

   Phone App > Tap 'Keypad' > Enter numbers with the Keypad > Tap 'Call Icon'

  2) Favorites

   Add a phone number from Contacts and make a call.

  Phone App > Tap 'Favorites' > '+' Button > Tap 'Contact's Name' > Tap 'Call mobile' > Tap Contact's Name

 3) Recents

  Tap a phone number in the recent calls list.

  Phone App > Tap 'Recents' > Tap 'Contact Name'

4) Contacts

  Find the person you want to call in your contact list and call them.

  1) Phone Icon > Tap 'Contacts' > Select a contact name > Tap 'mobile' or 'mobile number'

  2) Contacts Icon > Select a contact's name > Tap 'mobile' or 'mobile number'

10. Send a message

  1) Send a message to the recipient's phone number or email ID.

  Messages App > Create Message Button > Phone Number or Email > After writing a message, Tap ⬆️ Button.

  2) Find the recipient in your contact list and send a message

  Messages App > Create Message Button > '+' Button > Tap 'Contact's Name' > After writing a message, Tap Send⬆️ Button.

11. Reply to a message

  In the Message app, tap the person you want to send.

  Messages App > Tap the name in Messages > Type a message > Tap Send⬆️ Button.

How to create a new Apple ID

Here are two of the simplest ways to create an Apple ID.

1. Create an Apple ID on your iPhone or iPad.

2. Create an Apple ID at 'appleid.apple.com'.

Follow number 1 if you want to create an ID with 'xxx.icloud.com', and follow number 2 if you want to create a personal email ID.

Tap 'Settings'.

Tap 'Sign in to your iPhone'.

Tap 'Forgot password or don't have an Apple ID?'.

Tap 'Create Apple ID'.

Type in your name and choose your date of birth from a calendar.

Enter a new ID and tap 'Continue'.

Tap 'Create Email Address'.

Enter your password, then tap 'Continue'.

Password must be at least 8 characters long and must contain numbers, uppercase, and lowercase letters.

No special characters are required.

Enter your country code.

Enter the phone number you can receive.

Tap 'Continue'.

Enter the 6-digit verification code from the message.

Tap 'Agree'.
An Apple ID is created.

Even if you create an Apple ID, you cannot download the app from the App Store unless you set up a payment method.

Proceed with payment method setup.

Tap 'Payment & Shipping'.

Enter the card information.

Tap 'BILLING ADDRESS'

Complete the required information and tap the 'Done' button to finish.

2. Create an Apple ID at 'appleid.apple.com'.

Go to the 'appleid.apple.com' page and click 'Create Your Apple ID'.

Enter all of your requirements.

Email must be a real, verifiable email ID.

Password must be at least 8 characters long and must contain numbers, uppercase, and lowercase letters.

No special characters are required.

Enter the verification code.

Enter the verification code

Even if you create an Apple ID, you cannot download the app from the App Store unless you set up a payment method.

Proceed with payment method setup.

Click 'Payment Methods'.

Click 'Add Payment Method...'

Complete all the requirements.

Click 'Update'

Creating an Apple ID allows you to log in to the iTunes Store and other Apple services such as iCloud.
